Well, it's been a rough couple weeks! Ella had her first fever and full blown sickness... thanks to being at a babysitter on a daily basis! I took her to to the doctor and all he could say was it is an Upper Respiratory Infection... just let it run it's course. Luckily I have parents with a flexible schedule so between mom, grandma and Shannen, Ella spent a couple days away from the sitter so she didn't re-infect the other girls! Unfortunately Ella passed on her lovely illness to Dave, my mom and I... all of us are now on antibiotic and still trying to fight it off. We're going on about a week and a half now so I'm hoping I feel better by Wednesday night, we have parent teacher conferences this week! Oh boy! So other than being sick Ella has been her happy self! On top of being sick Ella had another tooth pop through on the bottom, so we're up to two teeth now! She's still moving all over, not exactly crawling just rolling and scooting. She's still jabbering like crazy, I swear I can her "ma ma" now but not nearly as frequently as "da da!" She is now able to sit back up by herself! It's pretty cute, she scoots backward almost into the splits to get back up, but hey I'm not complaining... she's becoming a little more self sufficient! Oh and she is trying to pull herself up now... not incredibly successful but she's working on it! We had her nine month pictures taken on Saturday so I can't wait to post those... unfortunately she didn't think it was necessary to smile but we got a few good ones. Of course as soon as we got home and I pulled out my camera she was super smiley, those are attached above! I also took a couple pictures of Ella and her new favorite toy... her photo album, she loves to grab it and go through the pages, she hasn't torn them out yet! So that's the update on Ella, hopefully it won't take me so long for the next one!

Just Another Weekend!
Just thought I would give a quick update and share some pictures of the past few days. Dave, Ella and I had a relaxing weekend, it was nice just to stick around home and spend some quality time together. Ella has become very vocal recently, she definitely has "Dada" down, but I'm told that's perfectly normal that most babies say that first! We did venture out to get groceries and then went to Grandma Shirley's this evening but overall we just hung out at home! So here are some pictures from the weekend!

It has arrived!
So Ella finally got her first tooth! Ella was eating tonight and I was assisting by putting a piece of carrot in her mouth a felt something sharp on my finger... sure enough it was a little tooth popping through! So just wanted to update everyone that she finally got a tooth! Pictures to follow in the near future.

9 Months Old!
Well, it's hard to believe but our baby girl is nine months old! Like I've said before I can't remember life without Ella but it's also hard to believe nine months have gone by since our precious baby girl arrived! She is changing like crazy and keeping us busy! She now weighs 20 pounds 7 ounces (90th percentile) and is 28 3/4 inches long (95th percentile) so she is a healthy girl! She loves to roll all over the floor and tries to scoot too! She is much better at going backward than forward, she'll get there eventually! Still no teeth but that's not stopping her from eating everything we put in front of her... a couple new favorites are canned green beans and mandarin oranges! She constantly jabbers, I do have to admit that it sounds like dada... not mama but we'll get her to say it! She's such a happy little girl, she's doing great at the babysitter but we love our weekends and nights together. Well I think that's the update on Ella for now, I'll try not to wait another two weeks next time. The pictures above are of Ella playing with the newspaper, it's one of her new favorite activities!

Laundry...
Ella has a new passion.... rolling around and unfolding/playing with our clean laundry. I usually try to fold laundry on our living room floor, Ella now rolls or makes her way over to the laundry to grab all of the folded laundry and tear it apart. She thinks its the funniest thing. So I went ahead and took some pictures of her the other night playing in our clean laundry that was once folded. Gone are the days of folding laundry on the floor and leaving it there for later... this now forces me to put it away!
First Time for Everything!
Dave sent me flowers at work this week! It's the first time I've ever gotten flowers at school! I was pretty excited and all of my students thought it was pretty cool! I may have made subtle hints about it for the past couple of years but honestly it took me by surprise! Just wanted to share the beautiful pictures with you!

Fun with Ella!
I thought I should post some pictures of the last week! I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things at school, we're in a pretty busy FFA time right now, so I've been staying after school several nights and working on things at home so I haven't had time to update our blog. Ella is doing great. She loves her babysitter so it makes me feel a little bit better about leaving her every morning. She's definitely becoming more mobile, still not crawling, but moving all over by scooting and rolling, I'm sure it won't be long. Oh, and Ella absolutely loves smiling for the camera... she's pretty happy most of the time but when the camera comes out she really flashes her big smile! So that's the update on Ella, I put together pictures from the last week, the last pictures are of Ella's Christmas gift that we finally put together today, she loves it!
