I can't believe that Ella is two months old! She just continues to grow and change, it's amazing! She's still such a good baby. I drag her all over and she doesn't seem to be phased! She's had the opportunity to spend some time with Grandma Shirley, Grandma Sally and Aunt Karla recently because I've been finishing up all of my Summer SAE visits.... I'm almost done with my summer contract! It's gotten a little easier to leave her, I'm not crying anymore so I think that's a plus, but I still rush to be back with her! Daddy got to babysit on Monday and they had a wonderful time, somehow he got her to nap! She's just such a happy little girl and she's still sleeping through the night, she goes down around 9:30p and gets up between 7-8am... I think I'm pretty lucky. She doesn't really like to take naps, she just takes cat naps throughout the day but we'll work on that. She's really started to like her fist, she tries to put the whole thing in her mouth. It's pretty cute, sometimes she just puts her thumb or finger in her mouth. I wipe her hands down all the time... I'm a freak about germs, I'm sure that will change eventually! We have her two month appointment next week, I can't wait to see how much she weighs and how long she is, I think mom is going with me, I'm not very excited about the shots, I don't know who will cry more her or me. Well, I just wanted to update everyone I realized I hadn't posted in a while!

Happy Birthday Karla!
Karla turned 29 yesterday... she's finishing out her twenties! Mom, Riley, Hudson, Ella and I went to dinner with Karla tonight. She was in Wisconsin getting a new Acadia yesterday so we didn't get to spend it with her, did I mention that I'm pretty jealous! Anyway, I snapped a couple of pictures at dinner tonight. Riley really enjoyed the new sombrero, unfortunately for Karla he didn't let her wear it very long! Happy Birthday Karla!
Cousins!
Last night we went to Dave's parents house for a short visit. Ella got to meet her new cousin Brayden. You'll notice he looks pretty little he's only 5 pounds 13 ounces but he's doing great and has already gained an entire pound since he's been home from the hospital. It was fun to see the two of them together. I also had a chance to give Brayden a bottle, it's a little different, I almost didn't know what to do because he was so little. It was great to visit and see everyone, I captured a few pictures from the night! Oh by the way, Ella slept until 7:45 this morning.... I'm hoping this is a trend that continues! Two days in a row now!

A Funfilled Day in the Office!
Ella and I went to mom and dad's yesterday so I could get trained to do somethings for mom.... and of course make some extra cash since I won't be working this fall! We had the playmat in "Ella's Corner" and she loved playing. She just smiled and made all of her little noises, she responds really well to mom.... she just smiles and smiles at her. She also loves my dad, he is very good at putting her to sleep, nice and cozy I guess! So I spent the day in the office doing work for mom and dad and Ella did great, I'm pretty lucky she doesn't mind being taken everywhere. I do think we wore her out because I put her down at 9:30p last night and I am still waiting for her to wake up... it's now 7:45am. Wow, that's awesome, maybe this is her new schedule, if so I'm perfectly fine with that. She's been sleeping through the night recently but waking up super early somewhere between 4:30-5:15am. I attached a few pictures from yesterday!

I Finally Did It!
So after 7 1/2 weeks I finally had to leave Ella. I had to do interviews for my maternity leave position this morning at the school so Ella had to spend the morning with Grandma Shirley, Grandma Sally and Grandpa Gary. I was pretty proud of myself for getting around early and actually making it to mom and dad's house instead of meeting mom in town. Poor Ella was snatched out of her cozy bed and stuck in her carseat... she slept through it all until we walked into Grandma and Grandpa's house. I was really struggling to actually leave but I knew it had to be done! Ella spent a whole 3 1/2 hours away from me... I know oh dear, but it was a big deal. She did great and Grandma Shirley and Grandma Sally both got to give her a bottle... a pretty exciting time I'm sure! She did great and even had the opportunity to go out to the office with Grandma and Grandpa and get right into the real estate business.... she had her own little corner to play in with a play mat and everything, she seemed to really enjoy herself. So there you have it, I finally left her, maybe next time it will be easier. A big thank you to Karla for listening to me after leaving her at mom and dad's... only a few tears shed! I attached a few pictures from today, she was pretty worn out when we got home, you'll notice the last picture of her napping!

More Smiles...
So Many Smiles!
Ella has hit the stage where she is really starting to smile, it's adorable. She was extra smiley this morning while playing on her mat! She was very photogenic too, she was just smiling for the camera! She slept through the night again last night so maybe that has somethig to do with it! Anyway, I wanted to share these with everyone, it's a fun new stage that Ella has entered and I'm loving it!

More Bath Time!
Ella's New Toy
So I forgot about Ella's playmat until mom mentined it today, Dave brought it down and she seems to love it. She's been awake more often recently (she doesn't like to nap but she's slept through the night twice in 3 days!) and I think she was starting to get bored with me so this is much more fun, plus it lights up and plays music! She was awfully smiley and happy today in it!
Tagged!
Well, I've been tagged by Katie and Krista so here goes!
I am supposed to list 6 things about myself and then tag 6 people... I don't have that many blog friends and most have them have been tagged so I'll go ahead and list 6 things about me, they won't be nearly as interesting as Katie and Krista's!
1) Well, I started back to work 1 1/2 weeks after Ella was born ( I had to get a special release from the doctor)... I'm doing my summer contract so I can get paid and take off the whole fall.
2) I was the Kosciusko County Pork Queen and Kosciusko 4-H Queen the same year. Pretty impressive I know!
3) After being pulled over 9 times and recieving warnings, I got my first speeding ticket near Crawfordsville, in a mini-van (on loan from the local dealership) full of my students from Illinois on my way to National FFA Convention by a motorcycle cop... man am I glad I left that school, I never would've heard the end of it.
4) I hate feet... something about them, I don't even like my own, in fact I have pedicures to try and make them look nice.
5) My favorite seasons are Spring and Fall, I especially love the smell of harvest in the fall. I don't like the summer because it's way too hot and the winter is too cold.
6) I took the real estate class and successfully passed the state exam but I have yet to send in for my license and do anything with it, maybe someday I'll figure out what I want to be when I grow up!
Here are the rules:
-Link to the person who tagged you.
- Post the rules on your blog.
- Write six random things about yourself.
- Tag six people at the end of your post.
- Let each person know they've been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

6 Weeks Old!
Ella is six weeks old today... time flies! I just can't believe how much she is changing. Her faces are adorable and she is so alert now. She's making all kinds of noises and fills out her clothes too! I remember when we got home from the hospital and she was swimming in her clothes now she is at the end of her 3 month sleepers! When she takes a bottle she's gone from taking 3 ounces to 5 ounces last night (plus she still wanted to nurse)... that explains why she slept so well! Like I've said before she is just such a happy, content baby! Dave and I are spoiled! Here are a few pictures I've taken over the past couple of days.
Such A Good Baby!
Well, it's been a long week at the fair. We're glad to finally be at home and get back into a routine. Ella was amazing this week, she was such a good baby... especially since I was dragging her to the fair everyday! We had a chance to watch Riley in the cutie contest... he was 1st runner-up, he should've won if you ask me but hey, what do I know! Ella also watched me on the hotair ballons with Riley and of course we strolled down the midway a few times! (Little does she know that she won't be able to go down that alone until she's oh I don't know 16 or so!) She's started to go about 3-4 hours between feedings during the day this week! (We've spent alot of time in Gannon's camper feeding her so I don't have to drive over to Grandpa Gene's!) She also is going longer at night, last night she slept from 11:30p to 6:30am... that's crazy! I only wish I could have taken advantage of it, I'm fighting a cold and I was up coughing, blowing my nose, etc! Anyway, we had a pretty busy week and I'm just looking forward to spending some quality time at home! I attached a few pictures from this week!

Busy, Busy!

Well, things have been crazy for us the past week. We enjoyed the 4th of July weekend, Ella got to see her first fireworks at Tim and Lili's on Friday night then we headed to Clear Lake to Grandma & Grandpa Jarrett's on Saturday for their fireworks. She slept through most of them on Friday night because I had her ears covered but Saturday they were much louder so we spent most of it inside... she felt the need to eat during the entire firework show! This week is fair week... we've spent plenty of time at the fair, I'm sort of in charge of the Young McDonald's barn so I have to be there, we take plenty of breaks and stop by Grandpa Gene's to change, eat and stretch. Only a few more days to go! Anyway, I posted a picture of fireworks at Tim & Lili's, I'll be sure to add some pictures of later this week from the fair!
