Home Again!

So I'm really enjoying these snow days! At least it's allowing me to ease back into teaching! Ella continues to grow like crazy, she's keeping us on our toes! She will be eight months old on Friday, it's amazing how fast it's gone! I snapped some pictures of Ella today at mom and dad's house. I really enjoy her shirt, she specifically asked for that one this morning!!! (Or maybe I couldn't resist it!) So here are some updated pictures of Ella, I took a couple in her car seat the other day too!

Bath Time!

Ella just recently has been sitting up in the tub! I finally got a nice non-slip mat and have let her go to it! She loves playing during bath time. She also has decided that it was necessary to splash for a majority of the bathtime too, apparently she thinks I also need a bath. Anyway, she is way too much fun! I think she could stay in the tub all night if I would let her! It's amazing that we have all sorts of toys yet she always goes for the washcloth, rinse bottle and faucet! Anyway, here are some pictures from tonight's bath!

Home, Sweet Home!

Well, I've mentioned before that I love being a stay at home mom. Luckily this week I've had a chance to stay home with Ella a little bit more! I took Wednesday off and then school was cancelled today. Ella and I have had a chance to bond again... let's just say we're both have a pretty good time. Even though I have to make up these snow days I'm pretty excited that school is cancelled for tomorrow too! At least I'm easing back into the school scene! Ella is so much fun, she's such a happy girl! She also loves to roll all over the floor and check everything out! Also, she loves to eat, if you can't tell from the pictures her absolute favorites are any of the orange veggies! Here are the pictures that I took today!

Update on the Jarrett's!

Well, time has flown by... Ella is 7 months old. I am now back at work again, not that I want to be but I guess I have to be. Ella started at her babysitter this week, she's doing really well! She is one of four girls, 2 four year olds a 2 1/2 year old and Ella! So she seems to be doing okay! I think I'm having a harder time leaving her. Anyway, things are going well here. I am posting Ella's 6 month pictures, I realize they are a bit late but I just picked up the CD!

Christmas & New Years!

We've had an enventful couple of weeks! We started with our first Christmas on December 19th and have been going strong since then! Ella had an awesome first Christmas... she really got into opening presents! I think we completely ruined the nice schedule that she was finally getting on but I'm sure it was worth it to spend time with our friends and family! So after attending all of our Christmas festivities we are trying to get back into a routine before I head back to work. We also had a small gathering at our house last night for Ella's first New Year's Eve. I assumed that Ella would sleep right through the new year because she has finally been sleeping through the night again, however, apparently there was just too much excitement and Ella decided to wake up for the main event! Hopefully we will get her back onto her normal schedule before Monday. We also took Ella to her babysitter for a couple hours yesterday... Dave and I left her and went to the grocery store, it's completely normal to cry in a grocery store, right? Ella did fine but I am not looking forward to dropping her off on Monday all day. I've been extremely lucky to stay home with Ella full time for the first 7 months, however, I have to go back to work on Monday. So I can no longer say that I'm a stay at home mom, although that would be my first choice in professions. Anyway, that's the update on the Jarrett family. I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday season too!

Santa!

Ella met Santa for the first time today! After a funfilled day we headed to another Holiday party before heading home for the night! I met Mom, Riley and Ava for the special occasion! It was adorable to watch Riley and Ava get so excited about Santa! Ella seemed to be okay with it too! She didn't cry when we handed her off which is a big step so she must understand that Santa is a "good" guy! So after meeting Santa Ella and I headed home where our power was finally restored this evening! Here are a few pictures of the kids with Santa!

Posing at Grandma's!

Ella and I packed up and went to go visit Grandma Shirley and Grandpa Larry this morning. We still had no electricity so I thought it would be wise to get out the house and go relax in a nice warm house... ours was okay but the gas fireplace sends all the warm air upstairs and leaves the main floor a bit chilly! So after playing with Grandma and Grandpa we headed to Jen's baby shower then back to Grandma and Grandpa's! Once again it was time to change Ella into another holiday outfit (this one is compliments of Aunt Lili!) and snap some pictures by her Christmas tree before heading out to another Holiday party!
