Ella had her Halloween pictures taken today... I know I'm a first time mom! My photographer was running a special for Halloween pictures! So we ventured to town, of course we had to stop by the salon first and visit Grandma Sally so she could show her off in her costume to all of the ladies. She was just so happy and smiley! Then off to get her picture taken... not nearly as smiley, we got 1 with a grin so that will have to work! Then we headed to Great-Great Grandpa Gene's house for a short visit. It was a full house and again I paraded her around in her costume! Ella is adorable in her costume, I posted pictures as proof! She's not a huge fan of the hat that goes with the outfit but she doesn't seem to mind the rest of it. So I know it's the day before Halloween but we dressed her up today anyway. But don't worry she will be a Lady Bug again tomorrow to go visit Aunt Karla's class for their "Fall Party" and then a couple more stops to "Trick or Treat" (Is it bad to take a bag along so I can have the candy?) Just kidding!

5 Months Old!
Wow, I can't believe it, Ella is 5 months old today. I was just looking through pictures of when she was born and it's amazing how much she has changed. She is doing great, still loving her food... well most of it, she is on a pea strike right now! She's an incredibly happy little girl, I keep waiting for a little tooth to pop through, she chews and drools constantly! Anyway, that's the update on Ella. I attached a few pictures of her eating today... one of her favorite times of the day!

She's a Roller!
Ella has been trying to roll over for at least a month now... she just can't seem to get over the arm/shoulder. Thursday morning before heading to Indy, she finally did it! All the way over. Today she had alot more floor time so she was just rolling like crazy. The only problem is she hates to be on her tummy and she hasn't figured out how to roll back the other way... so I have to keep turning her back over. I have tried to capture the rolling on my camera and finally got a fairly decent one after lunch today. So here she is rolling over!
Fun with the Girls!
Ella and I met Grandma, Mom, Krista and the girls and Karla and her friend Sarah for lunch today. Ava is all about "Baby Ella" and it's adorable how Ella just looks at her. I took a few pictures at lunch of all 3 girls interacting. I can't wait to see how they will all be in another year or so! We also took the opportunity to go see a movie this evening and left all of the girls with Grandma Sally! Luckily Dave and my dad were almost home when we left, but I did get a chance to snap a couple more pictures of Ava and Ella, did I mention that Ava absolutely loves Ella!
National Convention
Ella and I went to Indy for Ella's first National FFA Convention! It was nice to see some of my students again and spend some quality time with Lynnette, the other ag teacher! She's doing her best at convincing me to come back in January... I am going back to teaching in January but I'm having a tough time even thinking about it right now! Anyway, while in Indy Ella and I walked through the huge career show, we stopped by the Kraft booth for a photo opp! Who can resist the awesome wienermobile! So after walking around the career show, circle center mall, meeting up with past studentas and catching up with my students we headed back home on Friday evening! It was a fun time, I attached a few pictures from Ella's first convention! I don't know what I was thinking but I only took a few pictures... I meant to take a bunch but it didn't happen!

Toys, Toys, Toys!
Ella and I have been home all day! It's amazing, I know. Since I started putting some of her "newborn" toys away I thought it was time to put together some of the other ones we had. So I put together her Rainforest Jumperoo this morning and she loves it! Then I went ahead and put together her infant seat with play tray... not really sure what the actual name is! She's loving both of them. I went to Sam's club last night and invested in a Baby Einstein gift box with all sorts of toys too. So I've been busy sanitizing and assembling new fun stuff for Ella, I captured the moments this morning so I could share them with everyone else. Did I mention that she actually napped for over an hour today too! Plus with her being entertained with her new toys I actually swept my house, dusted, made the bed and did the dishes. Wow, who knew that was possible. So just wanted to share some pictures of Ella playing today! (Oh, the last picture is of our living room with all of her toys... it's pretty packed I have some of them stacked on her play mat so I guess you're not getting the full effect!)

What a Week!
Yes, I know, it's been a week since my last post. To be honest, I don't know where the time went! It seems like things have been crazy. I started taking a class on Mondays and Fridays, I guess it's helping me with the idea of leaving Ella when I go back to teaching in January. I registered Ella at daycare last week too. When I was doing it and talking to the director I started to cry, I know that's not a good sign. ( I know it's over 2 months away but the thought of leaving her with someone else just kills me) Dave and I also went out on our first real date on Friday night- I know Ella is 4 1/2 months old and we finally just went on a date night. We tried out the newest restaurant in town and then went to a Haunted House... I know very romantic! Dave and I also tried to get some work done outside this weekend, he finished the deck!!!! I started some landscaping projects, again I had big plans but only had time to get the side of our house done. Dave gets to dig out the grass around our propane tank this week so I can do that this coming weekend! But at least the front and side is now done! (It doesn't look very pretty because they were a bunch of "free" starts from mom, so I'm hoping by spring it will look beautiful! (That is why I'm not posting any pictures of it, you would think that I'm crazy!)Anyway, Ella is doing great. She loves food... she's tried all of the vegetables and fruits now. She seems to love anything and basically begs for more when we're feeding her! She's also getting better at using the sippy cup! When we're not out and about she loves to play at home... I just started putting some of her "baby" stuff away, the for example the soothing motions glider, she's too big for it and isn't content in there anymore and it was just taking up space in the living room! I'm also starting to bring more of her "big" stuff out! Again, I know I say it every time but it just amazes me at how much she has grown and changed since she was born. I have taken quite a few pictures over the week so I thought I would post them for you to enjoy! We'll see if I get another post up this week, Ella and I are headed to the National FFA Convention with my students later this week! It's never too early to get her started right!
