After the doctor this morning Ella and I met Aunt Karla for lunch then headed into school... I still have tons to do before the school year starts and I'm not even teaching! In fact, I'm still looking for someone to fill my spot! Ella had a bit of a rough afternoon, I think the vaccinations were really getting to her, she was as fussy as I've heard her so I didn't get as much done at school as I probably needed to! So after a few hours at school we headed to Grandma Shirley's to help with corn. Again, she had a breakdown when I got to Grandma's so I didn't get to help right away. After finally getting her settled we set up a "play area" on the pool table! She really seemed to enjoy just looking around and checking everything out, plus she could see me cutting the corn off of the cob. She seemed pretty content and she even fell asleep for a fairly long time just laying on the pool table! I also took a couple of pictures of Mom playing with the duck (or chicken not sure it sings the chicken dance song) Ella loved it, it does this little dance, flaps it's wings and sings and she just stared and smiled at it. Hudson also really enjoyed the duck, I captured a few pictures! Now we're finally home and I just got Ella down for the night, I think I'm ready to stay home and just catch up on laundry, let Ella rest and play and maybe even clean my house!
